Tech info & education announcements New Learning Widgets The new and improved Learning Widget for Lotus Notes and Learning Widget for Lotus iNotes are now available. The widgets displays in the product and are used to view and filter learning materials inside your Lotus Notes or Lotus iNotes client. Install the widgets to access the following types of training materials: Demonstrations Videos Tutorials Product tours Web seminars Online courses Reference Cards New machine translation service in the product wikis A new machine translation service, called n.Fluent, is now enabled in the product wikis. This tool translates text and if you see any errors or areas for improvement, lets you suggest changes to improve the quality and readability of the translation. Using n.Fluent, wiki users can choose to refine translated sentences or words for greater accuracy. The tool actually "learns from its mistakes" and improves translation accuracy over time based on the corrections you provide. Domino Configuration Tuner Take 30 seconds to download the easy-to-use Domino Configuration Tuner (DCT) and start comparing your Domino environment to a set of best practice rules to identify configuration problems. Once you have DCT installed, click "Check for Updates" to download new rules which are added monthly. Here are the new rules added since March: DominoCompleteDocType - notes.ini DominoCompleteDocType allows the administrator to specify the DOCTYPE generated by Domino in HTML pages. DominoMultiPartPostBufferSize - notes.ini DominoMultiPartPostBufferSize allows the adminstrator to specify how much memory (in megabytes) is allocated to the Domino memory buffer. DominoNoWebAdmin - notes.ini DominoNoWebAdmin allows the administrator to indicate whether or not the Domino Web Administrator application should be created when the HTTP task starts. DominoValidateFramesetSRC - notes.ini DominoValidateFramesetSRC allows the administrator to force the Domino web server to validate the existence of the specified frameset in the target application. DominoXURLProcess - notes.ini DominoXURLProcess allows administrators to specify how URLs are processed by the Domino Web Server. MEM_EnableMMap - notes.ini MEM_EnableMMap allows the administrator to force usage of MMap for memory management. MEM_MMap_Location - notes.ini MEM_MMap_Location allows the administrator to specify the location for the MMap shared memory files. SetupLeaveServerTasks - SetupLeaveServerTasks allows the administrator to preserve the ServerTasks and ServerTasksAt lines in the server's notes.ini on server upgrade. TRANSLOG_MaxSize - notes.ini TRANSLOG_MaxSize allows the administrator to define a maximum size for the transaction log in MB. TRANSLOG_UseAll - Server Doc 'Use all available space on log device' allows the administrator to indicate whether or not Domino transaction logs can consume all of a disk's available space.
