Please, to read the full article click here With this contest OpenNTF and We4IT want to increase the number of XPages open source controls to help with the adoption of XPages. Stefan Sucker, CEO, We4IT GmbH, emphasizes that "XPages will soon be the key development model for applications based on IBM Lotus Domino. Providing more core controls and modules is important to build web and mobile applications rapidly." Bruce Elgort, OpenNTF chairman, said: "OpenNTF's first development contest is something I am truly excited about. There are so many cool XPages apps and custom controls being developed that it seemed like an excellent opportunity to establish some type of contest that rewards developers for their efforts. I would like to thank We4IT as our inaugural corporate sponsor for the contest." We ask participants to contribute re-usable XPages controls to OpenNTF. Re-usable controls are often custom controls with parameters to configure them and use them in different contexts. Good examples are the login control from Ferry Kranenburg and the Dojo based charting control from Julian Buss. Re-usable controls also need to be documented to make them consumable by other OpenNTF developers, especially it needs to be documented which design elements to copy to use the controls in other NSFs.

After modifying the "DominBlog Template" enough, I think it's time to share to improve and receive feedback. I uploaded the Beta version of DominoBlog Extended to OPENNTF



I hope you can help improve it.

You can see at this URL options have been added and you can download new themes in DominoBlog Themes Catalog( under construction)
Now I'm writing the documentation, I will try to answer all questions in the meantime.

It's not a secret that I have been blogging and promoting the DominoDefrag Openntf project to the Spanish Lotus User Community, translating File Navigator project to Spanish language and other good stuff. Unfortunately, I'm not a programmer only a "good" administrator who loves Lotus Notes with some basic programming skills. My facebook friend, the australian Andrew Luder - the author of Dominodefrag - has been working hard and doing an excellent job with DominoDefrag project. So, when I donwloaded the last dominodefrag version I saw a new option to give him a Paypal donation so I dit it. It's a personal donation. If I had asked my company, I'd be wasting my time.



I have no idea if the Openntf steering comitee have PayPal donations in his mind but if you are an openntf contributor, think about it. Perhaps you can get a positive surprise. I don't have time to check and test all the openntf projects but I promise I will blog about it. Sometimes I feel a little disappointed when a project does not work like the delicious Lotus Notes sidebar widget but if you think it's time to give thanks, make happy, glad or warm openntf project leaders, think about a donation.

Bueno.

Es el momento de presentar las cositas que hemos hecho con el foro de OPENNTF Discussion Next Gen
